Last night, TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) took the stage at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles for the last US show of TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s World Tour <ACT : SWEET MIRAGE>. With this final show, the five-piece South Korean boy band–consisting of SOOBIN, YEONJUN, BEOMGYU, TAEHYUN, and HUENINGKAI–delivered a mesmerizing performance that showcased their immense talent, captivating stage presence, and unwavering love for their fans.
Since their last visit to Los Angeles, the group has made significant strides. Less than a year ago, they set off on their inaugural worldwide tour, <ACT : LOVESICK>, and made history as the first K-Pop group to grace the stage at Lollapalooza in Chicago. Moreover, their most recent mini-album, The Name Chapter: Temptation, achieved an impressive feat by securing the top spot on the Billboard 200 earlier this year. With the achievements continuing to pile up, it’s evident that they’ve grown into seasoned professionals in the industry.
As the show began, the stadium was filled with a burst of colors as TXT opened with their title track, "Blue Hour," from their third mini album. The members, dressed in outfits befitting princes, exuded a captivating charm that had the crowd singing along from the start. It was clear that the group had learned from their previous tour and knew exactly what their fans wanted. The setlist was carefully curated to include fan favorites, such as "Cat & Dog," which resulted in lively interactions between the members and the audience. The group turned it into a fun game, with MOA (Moments of Alwaysness, their fanbase) singing back to them and even mimicking their signature stage moves.
One of the standout moments of the night came during the performance of "Happy Fools," a track from their most recent album. YEONJUN took the lead and taught the crowd the dance moves, turning the entire stadium into a synchronized dance party. But before going right into the song, the members created a competition and sectioned off the audience into groups to see who performed the dance the best. Now the fun didn’t stop there; the group performed the song (complete with the previously taught dance), but as they entered the second verse, Coi Leray burst onto the stage, and surprised the crowd with a performance of her verse. It was truly a beautiful series of moments one right after the other, and a testament to TXT's dedication to creating unforgettable experiences for their fans.
Throughout the concert, the members shared their sentiments and appreciation for MOA. TAEHYUN, also affectionately known as Terry amongst the fanbase, expressed his love for the city of Los Angeles. He took a moment to reminisce about his first time in the city, speaking on the dance lessons he took during his pre-debut days and how he views Los Angeles as his home away from home. Instances such as these serve as powerful reminders to fans of the deeply emotional nature and sentimentality of the group they wholeheartedly love and support.
As the final moments of the show came near, the group returned to the stage for their final encore and reaffirmed their profound affection for their fanbase with not one, but three songs. With the venue lights casting a golden hue onto the group, they melodiously serenaded "Farewell, Neverland," a tender ballad capturing the transition into adulthood. Next was the unreleased "Blue Spring" which stood as a unifying anthem dedicated to their unwavering fans. With confidence, they sang the chorus, "When we're high when we're low, you're always by my side / you've filled up all my youth with your warmth," making a resolute pledge that the members would forever stand beside them. And to close it out, the lively notes of "Our Summer" rang through the entire venue. But before ending the song, the members asked MOA for one last request–to sing the final chorus for them. “No matter where you are, no matter what season / If we're together, feel like summer.” Truly, the perfect ending to a perfect concert.
