In late 1998, a young Lauryn Hill released her first and only solo album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. 25 years later, Ms. Lauryn Hill blessed fans in Philadelphia on the last show of her 25th anniversary tour. Ms. Lauryn Hill showed up and showed out for Philly.
Not only showcasing her amazing singing and performing skills, Ms. Hill also proclaimed her dedication to her fans and the City of Brotherly Love. The show was a constant vibe as she, alongside many other performers captivated the audience.
Following a DJ set from the legendary Quest Love to get the crowd hyped, around 9:30 pm, the sold-out Wells Fargo Center erupted in cheer as Ms. Lauryn Hill blessed the stage. After performing some timeless hits, Philly legend Freeway came to the stage to perform. There was not a song that loving fans did not cheer on as the show continued.
Ms. Lauryn Hill brought out a plethora of surprise guests to give fans an experience they would never forget. The likes of The Delphonics, YG Marley, and Rah Digga all shared the stage on that unbelievable night. To cap off the show, The Fugees joined Ms. Lauryn Hill on stage to perform their cult classics one final time before the tour concluded. Wyclef Jean had the crowd’s energy off the chart when he jumped into the crowd to interact with fans and even rapped over Meek Mill’s smash hit “Dreams and Nightmares”. All in all, Ms. Lauryn Hill did not disappoint and left fans yearning for another tour. All prayers go out to her and her incredible team for putting on an amazing tour for us!
