The crowd is buzzing with excitement as creatures, fairies with glowing wings, and humans dance on the floor. With every gust of smoke billowing from the stage, the crowd gets wild. Melanie Martinez peeks around from behind the curtain and the crowd screams and shrieks. Everyone starts chanting “Melanie!” as the lights go down, as her portal opens. 

Melanie’s long-awaited arrival in San Diego, brought out fans of all ages as the venue is packed with everyone screaming each word as they dance into the night. Each song intentionally invokes a new energy and frequency, with magical visuals, and Melanie’s otherworldly presence. Supported by a team of dancers, insane rainbow lighting, inflatable mushrooms, with celestial and earthly optics, Melanie truly creates portals to every phase of being that is expressed throughout the  album. With every dance break the crowd’s energy amplifies, with every shift in lighting the mood also transforms, and all the while, Melanie in her new look and era carry everyone into her world of magic and mystery.  

Fans singing back every lyric, everyone dancing in looks for the occasion, the crowd hanging on her every note and move, while magical forest visuals beam from the stage, all work together to feel and create this moment, this portal, to a true Venusian Faerie Soirée. Melanie does not miss a moment to connect with the crowd, having them sing back lyrics to her in every song as she glides around the stage. As she dances throughout the entire set, she maintains her energy, as you see her feeding off the crowd’s infinite excitement to have her presence. Melanie’s dancers are wild and on point, building the crowd’s energy as they spin around the stage supporting her every movement. The dancers, combining with Melanie’s dancing, and the band’s articulate yet ethereal sounds, creates a beautiful and mystical new world with Melanie’s pink creature like appearance as the center piece. The show is well worth the wait from the canceled tour back in 2020, and this new version of Melanie is more than could have ever been expected.
