The Devil Wears Prada returned to headline a show in the city of Toronto on Sunday night to close out their Canadian show dates this weekend, the night prior to headlining in Montreal. With openers, Dying Wish and Stray From The Path, TDWP tore through the Danforth Music Hall exclaiming a happy return to the Canadian North.
Openers Dying Wish and Stray from the Path warmed the crowd who reached capacity on the floor with Stray from the Path who produced mosh pit after mosh pit. New York’s Stray from the Path took the opportunity to reflect on the past years including thanking the city for welcoming the band from its early inception and reflective time away from the stage due to COVID-19 pandemic-related restrictions. The openers invited the fans to revel more as Stray from the Path took footage for a new live music video.
The Devil Wears Prada took the stage with luminous lights and heavy rifts tearing through the band’s longest setlist to date including the revered Zombie EP, played in its entirety. For a band going on nearly two decades in the metalcore genre, the band showed no signs of slowing down as the band are set to release their newest record Color Decay soon.
The band played an array of tracks stemming from their early days with tracks off the 2007 release Plagues to 2019’s The Act. Personal favourites were played including the track “Danger: Wildman” to the closing track “Mammoth.” From vocalist Mike to guitarist Jeremy, each member took to the stage with lofty presence and played a memorable set, as the show concluded the band thanked the crowd and noted they are looking to return once again. The Zombie Tour 2022 continues throughout the American Midwest to the West Coast and South.
