This Wild Life Review
California duo This Wild Life brought their latest tour to three Canadian cities, including Toronto. The “Super Emo Bros” brought their melodic sounds to the small punk venue, the Hard Luck Bar, with touring support from In Her Own Words.
On this date, the band Bud got the night started with a bang. Both openers had the crowd elevated and on their feet. Even as In Her Own Words had guest vocalists and their guitarist on vocals, in lieu of their lead singer, they did not miss a beat and got the crowd going.
As Kevin and Anthony of This Wild Life played alongside their tracks and a huge GameBoy stage prop, the crowd was swaying along till the night’s end. The emo and pop-punk crowd were well-attentive to the duo, singing along to songs including “Catie Rae” from their 2018 record Petaluma. The night ended as swift as it came with This Wild Life serenading the Toronto crowd.
